Minimalist logo design for Frank Herbert's Dune

I'm not an artist. My level is MS Paint and I'm not even good with that.

I've been playing around for a while with this minimalist logo for Dune.
I noticed at a semi circle can make an D, U, N and E (minus the dash).
So I drew this by hand where the U and N are not semi circles but rather elongated so they are the same height as the D and E.
But starting with a perfect semi circle for each letter and a dash to make the E, I created that in Paint then also imported a crescent moon and used each rotated version of it to make the Dune logo.
I wanted to use a crescent image of the planet Arakis but didn't have one. I guess I could have found one of Mars to substitute and may still.
I wanted to use a Guild highligner ship for the dash in the E. I thought it would look cool. Especially as it could be floating in space next to a moon so it would look natural juxtaposed with a crescent moon as the letter E.
Would be good to see other people's version of this minimalist logo design.
